Life doesn’t always have the best intentions when it comes to your happiness. Most people won’t have a cushy experience. Some, though very few, have the privilege of experiencing little or no struggle in life. However, the majority of the time it means someone had to pay for the individual’s life of ease. If one universal truth exists, it is this: discomfort is required for comfort.
This is a universal truth from the beginning of time. Don't want to starve? You better get out of the cave and do some long, arduous hunt and bring back some meat. Want to leave a financial legacy to your kids? You better pick up the phone and make the sale. This is a universal and timely truth. If this is true, why do so many people want the success.
Most people like a good bratwurst or andouille sausage. We enjoy them at games or cookouts. However, most people don’t know what is going into their bodies. All they know is that they are eating a delicious meat sausage. If they actually saw how the sausage was made, they would probably be less inclined to eat it. Not wanting to gross you out, we won’t get into the details of EVERYTHING allowed to be added to the mystery meat. Just like the sausage, success looks and tastes good, but very few want to experience the way the “sausage is made”. They are excited by fame and fortune, but not hard work and loss. However, that is because they misunderstand the powerful tools grit and sweat are in the journey of achieving success.
The resilience and relentlessness required to be an entrepreneur is not something that can be taught; you either have it or you don't. At Consolidated Assurance, we go through a painstaking process of finding individuals who are true sales wolves and are hunters at heart. In fact, we don’t primarily weigh the success of each applicant, but more-so we look to see if they have struggled and fought for something in life. That gumption and the steadfastness impress us more than trophies. If you have started a restaurant and worked yourself to the bone but ultimately failed, that is what we respect. Everything else is skill-based and can be taught. Learn more about the environment we create for success here: https://bit.ly/CA-Culture
In conclusion, don’t fear the heartache and work required to do something legendary. Even if at first you don’t succeed, you are better than the person who never tried. Remember, it's better to have tried and lost than never have tried at all.
